Objectives
- Build a professional web presence that reflects a uniformed, premium service rather than a man and van operation
- Generate enquiries and quote requests from businesses needing urgent, same day deliveries
- Rank locally for courier and transport searches across Portsmouth, Hampshire and neighbouring towns
- Make it easy for visitors to request a quote by phone, WhatsApp or online form
- Present clear service breakdowns so enquiries reach the right service faster
Challenges
- The courier and man with a van market is crowded and price driven, making it hard for a small operator to look established
- Local businesses such as pharmacies and engineering firms need reassurance about reliability before switching providers
- No previous website meant no organic visibility for local courier and same day delivery searches
- Enquiries were limited mainly to phone calls, with no clear online quote path
- Trust is a major barrier in this niche, since customers are handing over goods or a house move to a new provider
Solution
We built a mobile first WordPress site on Elementor with a quote request form on the homepage, dedicated pages for each service, and copy built around Sterling’s positioning as a reliable, uniformed, professional operator. Area coverage content supports Portsmouth and Hampshire search visibility, and multiple contact routes sit above the fold.
What We Did/Process
- Reviewed Sterling's services and target customer types before drafting the site structure
- Built dedicated service pages for A to B Courier, Same Day Transport, Small House Moves and Out of Hours Deliveries
- Wrote homepage and service copy around reliability, uniformed staff and UK wide coverage
- Added an area coverage section covering Portsmouth, Southampton, Fareham, Gosport, Havant, Chichester, Winchester and beyond
- Set up a quote request form with service selection, plus click to call and WhatsApp buttons
Style:
Website Prototype:
Homepage hero showing the quote form and uniformed driver messaging above the fold. Insert homepage screenshot.
Button Styles:
Bold, high contrast call to action buttons (Get a Free Quote, Call Now, WhatsApp Now) for maximum visibility
Brand Colours:
A confident navy and white palette with an accent colour drawn from the Sterling logo, chosen to read as trustworthy rather than budget
Typography:
Clean, bold sans serif headings paired with a highly legible body font, prioritising readability on mobile
UI Elements:
Sticky contact bar, service selection dropdown on the quote form, and icon led trust badges (Reliability First, Fully Uniformed Staff, UK Wide Coverage)

Customer Feedback
Read Verified Client Reviews Before You Decide
“Before this we were losing jobs to bigger firms just because our old setup looked amateur, no proper website, nothing. Now when someone lands on our site they can see we’re uniformed, we’re organised, we’re not a bloke with a van. That changes the conversation before we even pick up the phone.”

Why This Project Is a Good Example of Our Approach
This project shows our approach in a straightforward, service based niche: understand the real differentiator (uniformed, reliable delivery, not a man and van), structure the site so every visitor reaches the right service fast, and back it up with local SEO and low friction contact routes. It demonstrates strategic planning, a user focused quote journey, and a clear line from page structure to enquiry volume.
